he’s letting someone else do the talking. Instead of offering his own hot take, he’s sharing G.U Abraham’s perspective, asking his followers whether Abraham has a point and if Davido should actually take his advice.

The clip features Abraham praising the music itself he names “Unavailable” as a favourite and compliments the Oriade’s album overall, but raising an issue with who gets to see it performed in person. Abraham’s main claim is that even as a die-hard fan, he’s never scored a ticket to one of Davido’s shows and he estimates that around 70% of the fanbase hasn’t either. The problem, he stress, isn’t the quality of the performances, it’s the inherent limitation of touring. Some fans can’t afford the travel expenses, others can’t carve out the time and a portion simply dislike the crush of crowded venues. As Abraham put it, enduring Lagos traffic is one kind of suffering, but being pressed against strangers for hours is another. With a global fanbase scattered across many places that tours rarely touch, Davido leaves a significant chunk of his supporters behind.

Abraham identifies this genuine frustration and proposes a fix, Xilolo, a platform he says could sell tickets to a livestream while preventing screenshots or recordings. The only remaining loophole, he admits, would be filming a screen with a second phone a risk Davido already faces at physical gigs. To counter the worry that streaming might eat into live attendance, he points to The Experience, Lagos’s well-known annual gospel concert, which fills arenas year after year even while streaming free on YouTube and Instagram.

Davido’s empire is massive, yet many of his earliest supporters have never witnessed him live. Abraham didn’t invent that reality, he’s just offering a proposed solution. The “70 percent” figure might be pulled from thin air, but the sentiment fuelling it is undeniably real. Some will hail him as the voice of the overlooked fan, while others will dismiss him as someone leveraging Davido’s name for attention. In truth, he’s probably a bit of both. More importantly, the real question is whether Davido should actually stream his next tour, is far more consequential than who gets credit for raising it.
