Abdulrahman Adamu, a bandit arrested by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, confessed to spending his share of ransom money from kidnappings on drinking and womanizing.

He was one of eight suspects paraded by FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, who revealed that the gang terrorized communities in the FCT, Kaduna, and Niger states.

Disu noted that the gang’s leader, known only as Mallam, was killed during a shootout with police, which resulted in injuries to two officers.

The police recovered several weapons, including three AK-47 rifles and 100 rounds of ammunition, and are actively pursuing remaining gang members. Adamu admitted to earning over N600,000 from his last kidnapping operation, which he spent on drinking and women.
