A video showing the aftermath of an alleged theft on an Abuja-bound plane has emerged.

A male passenger was allegedly caught stealing from another passenger and this led to the plane being grounded for about 20 minutes.

According to passengers, the suspect is alleged to have gone to an overhead bin to steal another passenger’s luggage containing the sum of N290k.

The passenger, a white man, raised alarm when he looked overhead and didn’t see his luggage.

A female passenger who allegedly saw the male passenger move the luggage pointed at him and he was searched.

He was later arrested by the airport security after the missing sum was allegedly found with him.

A video shared online shows airport officials leading him out of the plane.

A businesswoman who previously narrated the incident before the video was published on the internet said the incident occurred on the morning of Wednesday, October 8. She added that the suspect boarded with just a bag and a shirt (read here).
